WEET Share Difference Between Solid Polymer Electrolytic Capacitor and Chip Type SMD Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Date: 2017-04-22
Difference between solid polymer electrolytic capacitor and chip type aluminum electrolytic capacitor:

1. The solid capacitor can be either a lead type solid electrolytic capacitor or a SMD solid electrolytic capacitor, but the SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitor must be packaged with SMD tape. The series of solid state electrolytic capacitors are richer than SMD electrolytic capacitors, and their electrical properties are higher than SMD electrolytic capacitors, which are used in more high-end electronic products.

2. SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitor, also known as SMD electrolytic capacitor, is a kind of aluminum electrolytic capacitor that distinguishes liquid electrolytic capacitor. It still contains aqueous electrolyte inside. The SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is only packaged with disc braided tape, and has no lead wire. It is generally used for consumer electronic products, such as sweeping robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, security equipment, etc.

Solid state capacitors, also known as solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors, solid electrolytic capacitors, solid electrolytic capacitors, conductive polymer solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors (solid capacitors or solid aluminum capacitors), can be divided into lead type solid capacitors and chip type solid capacitors,

Lead type solid polymer capacitors are packaged in bulk bags, and SMD type solid polymer electrolytic capacitors are packaged in disc braided tape and reel packing.

Solid polymer capacitors are generally used in high-order electronic products, such as 5G base stations, computer motherboards, lamp power supplies, etc.
